Continuation of August 4^th Meeting

Pledge of Allegiance was spoken 

Mayor Astleford reopened the meeting 

Present: Hagemann, Nordstrom, Astleford, Emerson, Timmerman

Absent: None 

Project #347 – JOBZ

Traci Ryan was in attendance and explained how JOBZ works. 

JOBZ is a tax free zone for distressed commercial and industrial properties to stimulate economic development. 

A resolution was presented by Hagemann and seconded by Nordstrom to approve authorization of tax exemptions for the industrial park only, and have EDA & council set up stipulations for applications.  When put to a vote the Resolution passed unanimously. 

Project #69 – Info to Council 

Attached is a memo from Gary Nordstrom informing the council of what Attorney William Peterson and Gary have been discussing on the Hwy 27 project. 

A motion was made by Emerson and seconded by Hagemann to set the following dates up to be open for a meeting with the police union rep.: September 10^th or 24^th or October 8^th at 5:00 pm. 

Meeting was adjourned at 2:00 PM.
